From a young age, I have been driven by a burning passion for racing. The exhilarating speed, the precision of every turn, and the adrenaline rush that comes with tackling complex circuits at high speed.
I would do anything to watch any form of racing from an incredibly young age. From sitting under the ironing board as a 2 year old to watch the Formula One as my Mum did the ironing, to watching historic clips of the Isle of Man TT when 3 years old, on VHS at my Nanna and Grandad’s house, I was completely captivated.
Having Brands Hatch on my doorstep and visiting on such a regular basis was the fuel that lit my fire, there is no doubt about that. It was being at the track with my Dad that allowed me to have the open and very candid conversations with him about how we turn this dream into a reality. The reality was that it was near impossible to achieve. But then I did it, albeit was 20 years in the making.
It took until I was 21 to finally get out on track to showcase my talents on a competitive stage. In 2022 I opted to embark on my racing journey, competing in the BRSCC Mazda MX5 Championship. The 2022 season saw me travel the length of the country from the home of motorsport, Silverstone to my boyhood circuit Brands Hatch. It was such an eye opening experience that led to unparalleled progression from back of the grid to mid pack by the end of the season.
2023 followed in similar suit with competitive showings at both Silverstone and Brands Hatch to start the campaign. However, having started the season and my heart telling me to carry on I could not make the conscious decision to carry on racing without further financial support. With over half of the season I have hoped that there is time to get back out on the grid and showcase my skills on this fantastic platform before the year ends.
